Fes to chefchaouen day trip
In Fes to chefchaouen day trip you'll explore Houses with blue lime, busy squares, steep alleyways, the best way to know this holy city is to stroll and soak up the atmosphere.

The old city

Wedged between two mountains, Chefchaouen is a city with whitewashed houses with blue and white. A powerful charm that we feel on Outa-el-Hammam in the pebbled Medina. Sitting at an outdoor cafe, you can enjoy the beautiful view of the Grand Tarik-Ben-Ziad Mosque witch the octagonal minaret is inspired from the Torre de Oro in Seville. This Andalusian architecture is found in the kasbah and its gardens, in the heart of the medina. its walls and the eleven crenellated towers, one of them served as a dungeon, home to an interesting ethnographic museum.
Kenza Tours « This peaceful city is not a museum : here, the craft tradition is alive ! Be seduced by its authentic charm. »

Fez medina guided tour This Free walk city tour is dedicated to explore the spiritual and cultural capital of the Kingdom. Fes is the religious, artistic and intellectual center of Morocco as well as the oldest and most famous of the imperial cities. Tour the huge Medina «Fes el-Bali» with us and visit the main attractions! You will meet your guide in front of your Riad or Hotel. We start the day at Bab Boujloud, one of the gates which lead into the Medina. In the morning we will visit some of the beautiful ancient buildings like the Medersas of Bou Inania and El-Attarine (Koran schools for religious studies) and the University and Mosque of Karaouine. Visit the Nejjarine Museum of Wooden Arts and Crafts and discover traditional tools, carpets, furniture and musical instruments in a beautifully restaurated caravanserai. After lunchbreak in one of the hunderts of restaurants in the medina, we continue our tour to the famous tanneries, where the leather is processed still the same as hunderts of years ago. You can observe the workers from a lookout and they will be glad to explain you the different workings steps if you are willing to bargain for a bag or new belt afterwards. But be aware of the bad smelling of the furs and coloring goods! Outside the medina lies the Royal Palace with its large plaza lined with palm trees. Last but not least we will drive up a hill to the cementary Bab Fettouh, where we’ll enjoy the panoramic view over the white sea of houses of the Medina. Fez medina guided tour is one of the largest vehicle-free urban areas in the world – full of life and unique, exotic culture. It will be like nothing you have likely seen before.
It is more of an experience than a site to see, but beyond all of the historic value if there’s one thing that Fes is known for, it’s the steep and narrow medina streets!
